Jay spent his formative years in Florida, attending elementary school in Tampa, middle school in Orlando, and high school in Leesburg. He earned an Associate of Arts degree from Lake Sumter Community College and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida. Driven by a strong work ethic, Jay paid his way through college and embarked on a diverse career path before entering law.
After graduating from UCF, Jay built single-family homes in the Orlando area before becoming an award-winning, top-selling salesman for The Contractor Yard in South Carolina, where he developed innovative procedures for high-volume builders. Returning to Florida, Jay worked as a business consultant, assisting clients in buying and selling small businesses. He also acquired and successfully transformed a construction business, doubling its revenues and increasing profit margins by over 54% within a year.
